Dr. Stanley J. Ward (Stan) serves as the Director of Spiritual Formation for Students and Families. As an empty-nester who recently launched two daughters into the wider world, he knows that it really does “take a village” to raise our children well.

In his role at Christ Church, Stan works with a team of volunteers, interns, and staff members to help students and their parents know Jesus, love their neighbors, and study scripture.

Before coming to Christ Church, Stan served in a variety of roles in Christian camping ministries and as both an instructor and administrator in secondary and higher education. Stan’s own education includes a MDIV from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX and a PhD in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University. He is also a published author.

Stan recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with his wife, Mindy. They have two adult daughters and one dog.
