Ian Aipperspach serves as the Assistant Organist for Christ Church. He holds degrees in Church Music and Fine Arts and utilizes those skills not only for Christ Church but for East Texas Baptist University where he teaches core Music Classes and assists the choirs and music theatre productions.
As a collaborative artist, performer, and conductor, he has performed across the United States, Australia, Northern Ireland, and Italy. Professionally, he has served as Artistic Director of the Carlsbad (NM) Chorale, Conductor of Midland-Odessa Symphony Chorale, and Pit Conductor/Music Director for a number of productions with Lubbock Moonlight Musicals.
Dr. Aipperspach’s research focuses on the music of the Moravian Church in the 19th Century, and he works with the Moravian Music Foundation to promote and preserve its musical heritage.
He lives Marshall with his wife, Candice, who is a Staff Singer at Christ Church and Vocal Coordinator/Associate Professor of Music at ETBU.
