Ted Welty

Assistant Rector

Ted Welty began duties as Assistant Rector at Christ Church on March 1, 2007, after serving as Associate Dean at Nashotah House, an Episcopal theological seminary located in Wisconsin. Prior to that he was Associate Dean at the Trinity Episcopal School for MInistry, also an Episcopal theological seminary, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Ted was educated at Texas Lutheran University (BA in English) and Central Michigan University (MA in Management). He received his theological training (MLitt) at St. Mary's College, the School of Divinity at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. In previous careers, Ted was Chairman and CEO of the Royall National Bank of Palestine, and spent 20 years in the United States Air Force as a pilot.

Ted and his wife, Ann, live in Emerald Bay and have three grown children and four grandchildren.
