Haiti Fund

The Diocese of Haiti and other partners are actively responding to the situation on the ground in Haiti with critical support from Episcopal Relief & Development. Please pray for those impacted and donate to the Haiti Fund.

The Diocese of Haiti has the largest Sunday worshiping community of Episcopalians in the Episcopal Church. There are more than 100,000 members in Haiti in 110 congregations. The Episcopal Church also has 250 Episcopal schools in Haiti and supports several hospitals, a convent, and a school for handicapped children. The Rt. Rev. Jean Zache Duracin remains with his people, sleeping in a tent city outside what used to be the Cathedral in Port Au Price.

Habitat for Humanity

A Time To Work!

After a long wait, and lots of prayers, our Habitat Project finally got underway on Saturday, January 23. Several opportunities are available for volunteers - from assisting in the construction of the home to providing food and beverages for the workers. Please note, workers must be at least 16 years of age. Please contact Vance in the church office, 903-597-9854, to inquire about work days and how you can help. You may also add your name to the e-mail worker list for updates.

The next scheduled Saturday work days are as follows: February 20, March 6 and 20, April 3 and 17, 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

Lent Preaching Series & Luncheons

Tuesdays in Lent, 12:00 Noon

Join us beginning at Noon in the Nave for our Guest Speaker each Tuesday during lunch. A light lunch will follow in the Parish Hall. More details are found on our Worship page.

Anglican Rosary

The Anglican Rosary will be held downstairs in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. each Tuesday during Lent.

 

Palm Cross Workshop

Palm strips have been ordered from Sacco in Houston and will be delivered on Friday, March 19. We will have a workshop on Saturday, March 20, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Undercroft kitchen. Experienced cross makers may pick up palm strips then.

Brotherhood of St. Andrew Golf Tournament

The Fifth Annual Brotherhood of St. Andrew's Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, April 23, at Oak Hurst Golf Course. Registration is $75 to play and $100 for hole sponsorships. This 4-person scramble includes a 12:00 noon lunch with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. Men and women of all ages are invited, including youth! Pick up your registration form in the church office. Forms may be returned to the church office. Proceeds go toward youth scholarships for missions and outreach trips.
