Ledell began working at Christ Church in November 1993. Ledell moved to Tyler from Texarkana , Arkansas in September 1978. He graduated from Arkansas High School in 1977. Ledell has seven children and eleven grandchildren.

As Sexton, Ledell's responsibilities include purchasing maintenance and household supplies, general upkeep of building and grounds, set-up for receptions and special events, and minor repairs.
