Organ Scholar  

Andrea came to Tyler from Massachusetts, by way

of Oklahoma.  While at Christ Church, she will be                  

serving as organ scholar/assistant organist and

choral accompanist. Andrea began playing the organ

after receiving a scholarship from the American Guild

of Organists Boston Chapter when she was nine years

old. She continued her study of the organ throughout

heryears at the Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts

and Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. After graduating

from Bowdoin with a B.A. in Musicology, she moved to

Oklahoma to pursue her M.M. in Organ Performance at

the University of Oklahoma.  She completed her Masters

in spring of 2010 and hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Musicology

in the future.

In addition to music, Andrea enjoys cycling, Ultimate Frisbee,

downhill skiing, rowing, and all other outdoor activities. Cooking,

baking, and shopping are her other favorite activities. She

and her fiancé Jack, a Denton native, are looking forward to

spending some time in East Texas.
