Adult Choirs
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is
an ensemble of adult volunteers who enjoy singing a variety of
traditional sacred choral literature. In addition to providing
musical leadership for the 11:00 a.m. Eucharist each week,
this ensemble provides leadership for all of the major Feast
Days of the church year, as well as Evensongs and
Christmas Eve concerts. In addition to the Wednesday rehearsal
time, the Choir meets at 10:15 a.m. (Summers at 9.15 am.) on Sunday morning to warm up
for the 11:00 a.m. Eucharist (Summers at 10:00 a.m.). While music reading skills and
previous experience are obviously helpful, they are not required
for membership in the Chancel Choir. The only requirements
for membership are a commitment to rehearsals and services,
ability to match pitch accurately, and a love of singing! Please
call the Music Office during office hours for more information regarding membership in this
ensemble, or come join us on Wednesday evening in the Choir
Room. Childcare provided with advance notice.
