Christ
Church offers several opportunities for growing in knowledge of
the Christian faith and our Anglican heritage. On Sunday mornings, during
the school year, Christ Church clergy and laypersons teach adult classes on
various topics beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Other opportunities for study include the Men's and Women's Bible Studies, and Education for Ministry (EFM), which are held during the week.
Adults Christian Formation is an essential ministry of Christ Church. We offer a variety of Bible studies and small group studies which equip adults to grow more fully into the ‘stature of Christ’ (Ephesians 4.13).
Sunday Mornings
On Sunday mornings, Rev. Luckenbach is teaching a 40 week series entitled Mark’s Gospel: Good News for a Young Church. Held in the Ascension Room on the third floor of the Grelling-Spence Building at 9:00 on Sunday mornings, this class is intended to bring the teachings of Christ alive every week. Bring your Bible!
The Newcomer’s forum will be meeting on Sunday mornings at 9:00 from April 11 – May 2 in the Epiphany room on the third floor of the Grelling - Spence building. Designed for people new to Christ Church, this forum is a lively and warm introduction to the life and ministry of Christ Church.
Coming this Summer: The Ten Commandments.
Join The Rev. Luckenbach and the Christ Church clergy for this exciting series on the roots, meaning, and role of the Ten Commandments. Delivered unto Moses by God over 3000 years ago, the Decalogue, or Ten Commandments, have formed the basis for the rule of law in Western Civilization for centuries. Each week this summer, we will examine one of the commandments and explore these questions: what does it say? What did it mean then? What does it mean now? And what does it matter? Beginning this Summer at 9:00 in the Ascension Room.
