Winter/Spring Schedule 2012
Adult Christian Education:
Few, if any, books in the Bible are as gripping and powerful as The Gospel of Luke. Written by a master story-teller, Luke, with great clarity, brings to life the ministry of Christ.
It is Luke who relays the parable of the Good Samaritan, Luke who shares the parable of the Prodigal Son. It is Luke who records Jesus sharing, "Take care and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." (Luke 12.15).And it is Luke, more than any other, who has taught us about the birth of Christ.
Join The Rev. Luckenbach for A Study of The Gospel of Luke, in the Ascension Room, on the 3rd floor of the Grelling-Spence Building.
Theology of Gender: Man & Woman in Scripture, Church, and Society. Beginning with God's creational design in Eden, we will be looking at male and female throughout the story of the redemption. How do they relate to each other? How do they relate to the world? We will also consider how the church has viewed these matters down through the centuries, together with a view toward sexuality and gender in contemporary society.
Rev. Matt Boulter teaches this class in the Trinity Room.
Adult Inquirers Confirmation Class led by The Rev. Stephen Stine in the Epiphany Room beginning January 8, 2012. If you are an adult interested in confirmation in the Episcopal Church, please plan on attending. It will be for confirmands and anyone else desiring to learn more about the Episcopal Church. Confirmation will be held February 26, 2012.
Children and Youth Christian Education:

Akaloo: A curriculum for 3rd through 6th grade that brings a "stage-specific" approach to faith formation for our children and youth by focusing on five areas of discipleship: Bible, God, Disciple, Church, and World.
Character: A study designed for 7th-12th grade students that reveals how people of the Old Testament encountered God in amazing ways, and their lives were drastically changed. Students see how an encounter with God will change their lives forever.
